Dr Carsten Hvid Larsen

Carsten has worked in the Danish Premier League football with players and staff at Odense Football club and currently holds a position as an associate teaching professor at Institute of Sport Science and Clinical Biomechanics at the University of Southern Denmark and sport psychology consultant in Team Denmark. Since 2013 he has worked as a sport psychology practitioner in Team Denmark, corresponding to 50% of a full time position. His employment at Team Denmark includes support at European, World Championships and the Olympic Games with a focus on team development, performance enhancement, and developing resilient athletes and coaches. Currently he supports Olympic swimming and the national teams in ice hockey.
Carsten has published several articles in the areas of applied sport psychology and talent development. He has contributed to the Routledge books: “Routledge Handbook of Talent Identification and Development in Sport” and “Sport Psychology for Young Athletes”. He has published two books in Danish for sport psychology practitioners, coaches and athletes.
