Who is FLAME?

FLAME is an international collaborative partnership funded by the European Union. The FLAME partnership is coordinated by Dr Vana Hutter from the VU University Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Other experts in the partnership are Dr Søren Bennike of the Danish Football Association (DBU), Dr Carsten Hvid Larsen of the University of Southern Denmark and sport psychologist at Team Denmark, Dr Mark Nesti and Dr Martin Littlewood of the Football Exchange at Liverpool John Moores University, Marjorie Esajas of the Slory sport support foundation, the Netherlands, and Paul van Zwam, sport psychologist at football club N.E.C. Nijmegen, the Netherlands.

The partnerships wants to join forces from the practical world of football and from academia. The project wants to draw on experiences and needs of football clubs. We develop support with and to the field, and research from the field. As such, football organizations are very welcome to contact us.
